Enrichment Providers
The six enrichment providers you can connect today, exactly which fields each one resolves, and what each is triggered by.
Each enrichment provider is its own card on the Integrations screen. They do not run separately: connected providers join the same enrichment chain, and Enrichment covers which source wins when several can answer the same field.
What Triggers What
Every provider resolves fields from one of two inputs:
- An email address, which gets you the person: name, title, LinkedIn, phone.
- A domain, which gets you the company: size, industry, revenue.
A provider that only takes a domain cannot tell you anything about a person, no matter how good its data is. That is the first thing to check when a provider returns nothing.
Connect These Today
| Provider | Auth | From an email | From a domain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Surface Enrichment | None. Provided by Surface | First name, last name, title, LinkedIn, phone, profile picture | Company, employees, industry, revenue, plus address fields |
| Apollo | Your API key | First name, last name, title, LinkedIn, phone, profile picture | Company, employees, industry, revenue, plus address fields |
| Hunter | Your API key | First name, last name, title, phone, LinkedIn | Company, employees, industry, revenue |
| Lusha | Your API key | First name, last name, title, phone, LinkedIn | Company, employees, industry |
| ZoomInfo | Your API key | First name, last name, title, phone, LinkedIn | Company, employees, industry, revenue |
| Similarweb | Your API key | Nothing. Domain only | Company, employees, industry, revenue, monthly website visits, company description |
Start with Surface Enrichment. It needs no key and no account, and it covers both person and company fields. Add a paid provider when you have a specific gap, not on principle.
Similarweb is the odd one and the interesting one. It resolves no person fields at all, but it is the only provider that returns monthly website visits and a company description, which are useful for sizing an account rather than identifying a person. It requires a Similarweb Sales Intelligence subscription; a plain Similarweb account is not enough.
Where to generate each key: Apollo · Hunter · Lusha · ZoomInfo · Similarweb
Cards You Will See but Cannot Connect
| Provider | Why not |
|---|---|
| Clearbit | The card is marked coming soon and the Connect action is disabled |
| People Data Labs | Marked coming soon, and it declares no fields at all, so there is nothing for it to resolve yet |
Two more appear on the Integrations screen under Enrichment but are not enrichment providers in the registry at all: Clay and Ocean.io are coming-soon cards with no backend behind them.
What Enrichment Feeds
Enriched fields land on the Lead Data Layer record, which is what scoring, routing and every agent reads. They also fill form fields at answer time when a form is configured to autofill.
